One of the most trying issues when writing about a product that hasn’t been released yet, of course, is gaining access to that product. In the case of hardware, it’s even worse, especially when it’s something as closely guarded as Windows Phone. Fortunately, I seem to be all set in that regard: Microsoft confirmed today that I’ll have access to a phone, and soon. I’m not sure what I’ll be able to say about that, or when, but this dramatically smooths the writing process, key when you consider the short schedule.
Also, I received a draft version of the “Windows Phone Secrets” contract from Wiley last night, and need to provide a more detailed version of the table of contents (TOC) by April 8. More on both of those items soon.
